ForkFest 2025 Recap: Utah Ska Legends Stretsch Armstronng Reunite!
If you missed ForkFest 2025, you missed a true moment in Utah music history. This year’s festival was packed with legendary reunions, high-energy performances, and the unmistakable DIY spirit that makes ForkFest one of the state’s most beloved music events. The ZHZ Podcast crew was there for every unforgettable moment, and we’re breaking down the highlights for you!
The Return of Stretsch Armstronng
The biggest buzz of ForkFest 2025 was the long-awaited reunion of Utah ska legends, Stretsch Armstronng. After more than a decade, the band took the stage in front of a hyped crowd, delivering a set that was pure energy from start to finish. Fans of all ages packed the rail, and the band didn’t disappoint—complete with classic props, choreographed horn sections, and even a brand new song, “American’t Berzerker,” set to drop in July.
Festival Highlights
ForkFest isn’t just about the headliners. This year’s festival was a showcase of Utah’s vibrant local music scene and family-friendly fun. Here’s what stood out:
- Three Unique Stages: Two main stages kept the music flowing with almost no downtime, while the forest stage offered a magical, eclectic vibe under the trees.
- Sego & Fictionist: Sego blew the crowd away with their artsy, punk-infused chaos, while Fictionist made a triumphant return from sabbatical, showing why they’re signed to Atlantic Records.
- Aquabats Mayhem: The Aquabats brought inflatable sharks and party energy, turning the crowd into a sea of bouncing fun.
- Family-Friendly Activities: From foam pits and bounce houses to face painting and arts & crafts, ForkFest was a hit for kids and parents alike.
- VIP Experience: Climate-controlled tents, complimentary drinks, and catered meals made the VIP area a cool oasis for festival-goers.
- Vendor Village: Local artisans, food trucks, and a welcoming community vibe rounded out the experience.
DIY Spirit & Community
ForkFest 2025 was a celebration of the DIY ethos that keeps Utah’s music scene thriving. Local bands like Lo-Fi Riot (a ska group made up of high schoolers) and Seymour (an early standout on the forest stage) proved that the next generation is ready to carry the torch. The festival was safe, inclusive, and all about supporting local talent.
